Happy Friday Currents!!! Thank you to everyone who shivered through last night's cold, rainy meet! Summer swimming is an outdoor sport, and we've experienced it all: from the blistering heat of last summer's city meet (truly the worst, most miserable we've ever experienced), to ever-present summer thunderstorms popping up out of nowhere, to those moments when we're soaked and shivering and there are folks wearing winter jackets on the pool deck. It's all just part of the sport & making memories for our swimmers and our team!!!

The coaches are so, so, so proud of our swimmers. The improvement we've seen over this summer is truly phenomenal, and we're super excited to finish the season strong!!!

City Meet (July 7th-8th):

• Entry deadline: Sunday, June 25th at 4pm
• Current Entries were sent via email. Please review your swimmer's info and make sure everything looks right. Reply to this email ASAP if anything is incorrect. We cannot make any corrections at all after Monday, June 26th.
• Relays: Coaches will build as many relays as possible given the list of swimmers participating each day - but we have to have 4 swimmers in every relay. If your swimmer would be interested in participating in city meet on one or both days as a Relay Only Swimmer, please let us know by signing up on our City Meet page or replying to this email by Sunday, June 25th at 4pm! The team will cover the cost of relay only swimmers, and we would love to have lots of city meet relays!

Dual Meets:

• Ridgeside @ Cumberland (Monday, June 26th)
  • Entry deadline: Sunday, June 25th at 4pm
  • Volunteer deadline: Monday, June 26th at 2pm
• Cleveland @ Cumberland (Thursday, June 29th)
  • Entry deadline: Wednesday, June 28th at 4pm
  • Volunteer deadline: Thursday, June 29th at 2pm
  • This will be our Cumberland Currents spirit meet!!! Wear blue and be prepared for lots of fun at our final home meet of the season!

Mini Meet (Tuesday, June 27th during evening practice):

• Our older swimmers will run an intra-squad mini meet that will let our younger & less experienced swimmers shine! Prizes for every race and goody bags at the end of the meet! All 8 and under swimmers & swimmers of any age who are new to competitive swimming / still learning all the strokes are welcome to sign up -- please only RSVP if your swimmer plans to compete! Older / more experienced swimmers who want to help run the meet can be signed up for a volunteer slot! The entry deadline for this year's mini meet is Tuesday, June 27th at 9am.

End of Season Banquet:

• More information will be forthcoming, but please go on ahead and mark your calendars for our end of season swim team banquet and awards ceremony on the evening of Sunday, July 9th!
• Pictures: One of our traditions during the banquet is displaying a slide show from the season! Please keep taking pictures during the rest of our meets & send us any you're willing to share! We want to make sure all of our swimmers are represented!
