We have a big week ahead of us as we wrap up the 2024 swim season!!!

Monday Night's Meet at Cleveland: We won against the Aqua Tigers when they visited our pool two weeks ago & we can do it again!!! Our teams are really evenly matched, and the winner of this meet will be entirely dependent on how many swimmers each team has in the water. If we can't fill our relay and individual event spots, we basically give away points. So, for example, let's say we don't have enough swimmers to fill our senior girls medley and free relays, but the Aqua Tigers do... Their team earns 16 points across the two relays and we earn 0. If we can fill and win those two relays, we earn 16 points and they earn 8. That is a 24 point swing in the final score. When we swam them last, we won by 23 points. Filling events (especially relays) is the difference between winning and losing. RSVP's are due tomorrow (7/7) by 5pm & the line-up cannot be altered after 11am on Monday, 7/8. We hope our swimmers will show up, swim fast, and win one more!!!

Tuesday Night's Mini Meet: Instead of 7pm practice on Tuesday night, we'll have our annual mini meet! This meet gives all of our youngest and least experienced swimmers (10 & Under) a chance to have a meet that's all about them!!! There are no swimming skill requirements at this meet - we can even have our older swimmers in the lanes to help out! Our older swimmers also fill all the volunteer slots: starting, timing, wrangling... We look forward to this meet every year and can't wait to see y'all there! Just FYI, in the case of inclement weather, this meet will be held on Wednesday night instead. We'll keep everyone updated if the weather looks dicey. RSVP's for participants and volunteers are due by 2pm on 7/9.

City Meet: Entries are finalized for city meet, and the heat sheet will be available soon! 37 of our swimmers will be participating this year. As additional information about the meet becomes available, it will be posted to the City Meet page!

Banquet and Awards Ceremony: Sunday evening (7/14) will be our banquet and awards ceremony. This is always a super fun event when we can celebrate everything our swimmers have accomplished this year! Please RSVP by by 5pm on 7/11 for the spaghetti dinner so we know how much food to provide. Also, plan to bring a dessert to share and let us know if you can volunteer for set-up or clean-up. And, if you have pictures from the season you're willing to share -- please send them to [email protected] to make sure our entire team is represented in our annual slide show! After the awards, swimmers can head to the pool while we hold a quick parents meeting and talk about plans for the 2025 season!!
