Red, White, + Blue Themed Home Meet Against Big Ridge Tonight!

Warm-Ups: Warm-ups will begin at 4:45 pm. Please have your swimmer on the Cumberland pool deck and ready to swim by that time. Here's how to get ready for a meet:

    1. Write your swimmer's event number, heat number, lane number, and event name on their forearm.

    2. Write your swimmer's name and age on their shoulder.

    3. Add some fun sayings to motivate your swimmer and terrify the competition. ;-)

Volunteering: Please check in with Mike Abraham and Nicole Redmon when you arrive at the meet to confirm your volunteer assignment for this evening. We still need relay wranglers tonight. Please return clipboards and stopwatches by the end of the meet. Thank you for your help!

Due to the volume of 8 and unders on our team, we are asking for parents' help in relay wrangling your 8 and under child(ren) to ensure they are properly lined up and do not miss their relays with Coach Julie's help. We ask for 8 and under relayers to meet in front of the Cumberland mural outside the bathrooms.

Supplies: Don't forget a swimsuit (tie-back suits and suits advertising other teams are not allowed), a swim cap (plain, Cumberland, or no cap), goggles, a towel, and a water bottle (+ electrolytes). It is EXCEPTIONALLY hot outside and critical that you help your swimmer to stay cool between heats. Our concession stand will be open for business!

Heat Sheet: The heat sheet and a list of events by swimmer are attached to this email and are available on the swim meet schedule on our website. The heat sheet contains all of the information about which events your swimmer will be participating in tonight and which lanes they will be swimming in. Some of you may find that your swimmers are swimming up (participating in events for an age group older than their own). Summer swimming is a team sport, and we have carefully placed all swimmers in events to maximize points for our team and to give everyone as many chances to swim as possible.

Team Spirit: Most of all, we want our swimmers to have fun, swim hard, and enjoy supporting each other. Tonight is our Red, White, + Blue theme night so come dressed for a 4th of July BBQ and ready to cheer on our team. If possible, please stay through the end of the meet to uplift all of our swimmers (and the Big Ridge swimmers too!). We can't wait to see you tonight.

    Go Currents!!!
