Tonight's Meet Against Red Bank Heat Sheets! And More!

    Good afternoon!

The season isn't over yet - tonight, we take on the Red Bank Gators for our final dual meet. Tomorrow, June 30th, is our beloved Mini Meet from 7-8:30 for young swimmers (10 + under) to compete in free, back, and free relay. Older swimmers are encouraged to show up and volunteer. Please RSVP here.

Warm-Ups: Please have your swimmer on the Cumberland pool deck and ready to swim by 4:15 pm.

Volunteering: Please check in with Mike Abraham and Nicole Redmon when you arrive at the meet to confirm your volunteer assignment for this evening. We still need volunteers for tonight. Thank you for your help!

Supplies: Don't forget a swimsuit (tie-back suits and suits advertising other teams are not allowed), a swim cap (plain, Cumberland, or no cap), goggles, a towel, and a water bottle (+ electrolytes). Today, temps will be as high as 94 degrees outside - it is critical that you help your swimmer stay cool between heats. Please bring extra iced water, cool rags, fans, etc. to help.

Our concession stand will be open for business! We will also have our sponsor, Chatterbox back! Their BBQ plate is delicious and their portions are generous enough to feed two people with one entree. Plus, it's always nice to not worry about dinner on a meet day!

Heat Sheet: The heat sheet and a list of events by swimmer are attached to this email and are available on the swim meet schedule on our website.

Team Spirit: Most of all, we want our swimmers to have fun, swim hard, and enjoy supporting each other. Tonight is our Senior Celebration Night so come dressed in Cumberland colors and ready to cheer on our team (but body paint and glitter are prohibited). If possible, please stay through the end of the meet to uplift all of our swimmers (and the Gators' swimmers too!). We can't wait to see you tonight!

CASL Fundraiser: This year, CASL is partnering with Kelley Andrews to support the community through the Nehemiah Project R3 (https://nehemiahr3.org/about-us/).

CASL is asking every team to bring 24-packs of Crayola crayons to the Fort Oglethorpe Pool during the City Meet. Please note that the organization specifically requests only the Crayola 24-pack. These are currently on sale at most stores for approximately $0.50 each.

As an incentive, Murfreesboro Pure Milk, will provide ice cream at our End of the Year Banquet if our team that donates the most boxes. This is a great way to display not only the cohesive, competitive, fun team that Cumberland is, but also the generous, sportsmanlike team. Please consider bringing your donations to tonight's meet or any regular season practice before City Meet to add to our total donation.

Additionally, if you would like to volunteer to help pack backpacks, we will be at the Chattanooga Area Food Bank on July 18th.
